Board of Directors


Chalee Rawlings
Owner. Studio Director. Teacher (all styles).
This is Chalee's seventh season as director of Energy Dance Company. She has been dancing for over 28 years and has been teaching dance for 13. Chalee has trained in jazz, hip hop, ballet, contemporary, tumbling and tap in both Utah and California. Growing up, Chalee danced competitively; winning many awards for her talent including Dancer of the Year. Chalee participated in Cheerleading, Drill Team, Soccer and Track in junior high and high school where she was Head Cheerleader and President of the drill team. Her senior year, Chalee was awarded Regional Dance Sterling Scholar. Chalee graduated from the University of Utah where she attended many dance classes of various styles, and received her degree in Elementary Education. She loves to continue her dance education by attending workshops and taking classes. Chalee’s choreography has been recognized with many First Place, Overall High Point, and Best Choreography at various dance competitions. In her free time Chalee loves snowboarding, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three children. Chalee loves adventure and trying new things, she even has her pilot’s license! Chalee is an experienced dance, school, piano and snowboard instructor. Chalee has a passion for working with children and helping them develop into successful individuals.
Michelle Smith
Accounting Director
Michelle has been behind the dance scene at Energy for the past 3 years as book keeper. She has a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and has many years experience managing in retail, fundraising and owned and operated a preschool in Riverdale for 7 years. Michelle also spent much of her time volunteering in her community in many different positions. Most recently, she has subbed in the elementary school system and taught PE for West Weber Elementary. However, Michelle's favorite thing to do is to cheer on her 3 kids, switching between dance mom and soccer mom.
Megan Russell
Marketing Director. Teacher (all styles).
Over the past 5 years Megan has developed relationships with accounts to grow communities by 240-327% and increase LTV and conversion using public relations, content marketing, channel and partner marketing, and field event marketing. She builds to execute customer focused strategy for SMB companies targeting B2C and B2B audiences, including assessment of client issues, competitive analysis, business development, market plans, and prioritization. As for teaching, Megan has been teaching for the past 13 years and dancing for the past 26. She has been trained in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, salsa. She competed in both team and solo competitions winning various titles and serving leadership roles such as, head cheerleader and Drill Mistress. Megan graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Therapy where she learned various techniques to enhance dance performance through body mechanics and strengthening specific exercise. Megan has also coached drill team at Green Canyon, Sky View, and Roy High School, winning a Region and State Champion Title along the way.
Kyly Lawrence
Competition Director. Teacher (all styles).
This is Kyly's seventh season as part of the Energy Dance Staff. Kyly has been dancing for 22 years and has been teaching for 9. She has trained in all different styles of dance and tumbling. Kyly's passion for dance started when she was 3 years old dancing on competition teams. She has competed multiple solos and team routines, has been invited to compete on many "All Star Teams" and was a member of her high school Drill Team. Her love for dance continues to grow and she loves sharing her passion with her students. Kyly is an experienced dance teacher in all styles. She has choreographed many first place routines and has won Judges Choice awards in hip hop and jazz, along with solo overall awards in lyrical. Kyly is a very talented dancer, teacher and choreographer. She is living out her dream of being a dance instructor. She is gifted at working with the 3-5 year old classes and making dance fun!
Lindsay Ketcham
Administrative Director
Lindsey Ketcham-Lindsey grew up near her family's cattle ranch in the upper Ogden family. She graduated from Bonneville High School and Weber State University with a degree in Child and Family Studies. Lindsey worked as a nanny to put herself through college and then landed a great career with Visit Ogden. She was with them for the last eleven years in tourism sales. She traveled the country promoting Weber County as a convention destination and was privileged to produce and execute large scale events in and around Ogden. Lindsey has a passion for community, bringing people together for a greater purpose, thinking outside the box and always striving for greater success. She brings years of experience in networking, office efficiencies, fundraising and a charismatic personality to connect with those around her. Lindsey recently decided to leave Visit Ogden to spend more time with those things that matter most...her husband Brady, her two beautiful daughters Bentley (9) and Indie (6) and the one hobby they do most. Bentley and Indie have been dancing with Energy Dance since they were three and now both compete on the Junior Competition Teams. Lindsey could not be more happy to be with Energy Dance Company.

Christon Chritlow
All styles and private lessons
Christon has been trained in jazz, hip hop, contemporary, ballet, musical theater, tumbling, and cheer. She has competed with Eminy Dance and Energy Dance Company where she has won several first place titles. She was also trained in hip hop and jazz in California for 2 years and has taken several workshops from various So You Think You Can Dance contestants. Christon was a cheerleader at Snowcrest Jr. High and Weber High School. She was a member of the Weber High Warriorettes her junior and senior years where she held the position of Asst. Drill Mistress. She helped with choreography for the drill team’s competition routines and was a member of the Academic All Region Drill Team. She also helped choreograph high placing competition routines for Energy Dance Company where she has taught for the 5 years. Christon attends school at the University of Utah where she is taking classes in modern, ballroom, and dance composition. Christon is currently a member of the UofU Advanced Ballroom Team. Christon has a passion for the arts and is excited to be able to inspire children to love, create, & express themselves through dance.
Wendy Turner
All styles and private lessons
Wendy has been dancing for over 30 years. With training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Gymnastics, Modern/Contemperary, and a small amount of Irsh soft shoe and hard shoe. She has been teaching Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Gymnastics and Lyrical for nearly 20. At 14 she started choreographing her own solo's for competitions and pageants, winning various awards throughout the years she competed. In 1996 she started with shared team choreography for her team's group competition numbers, earning many top awards for several numbers and even one national award. In 2001 she choreographed a show for a Garth Brooks Impersonator (Lamont Martinez) out of Vegas, who traveled the country with his band and dancers. Wendy believes: audition for as many things as you can. You may not get the part, it may bring down your confidence. But, you will gain in experience, inner strength, and character as long as you put yourself out there. All of which can make you a better dancer and person. Treat each audition as a chance in a lifetime.
Tracy Schroeder
All styles
Tracy has over 10 years of performance experience and has trained in Classic Ballet, Broadway Jazz, Tap, Modern and Contemporary dance. She caught the theater bug after joining the cast of Sophisticated Ladies at Weber State University under the direction of Jim Christian. This experience lead to roles at WSU in 42nd Street and Pirated Penzance, which later performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Tracy was also a recurring member of Utah Musical Theater where she performed in West Side Story, Oklahoma and Will Rogers Follies. She met her husband while performing in West Side Story and together they have a beautiful daughter whom also dances at Energy. As a young girl, Tracy was shy and unsure of herself, but eventually gained a greater sense of confidence and courage through the art of dancing and performance. Tracy hopes to inspire all of her students to that same level of confidence by sharing her life-long passion for this incredibly empowering art form.

Bret Lindley
Jazz, cheer, & tumble
Bret has been dancing for 15 years and has loved every second of it. Bret is currently dancing as a member of Pro. Dance Co., a traveling team of former NBA/NFL dancers. This spring Bret travelled to India where she spent two months dancing on a live television show. In 2015 Bret was able to live her dream of dancing for the Utah Jazz. Bret danced and competed collegiately at Weber State University for 2 years and Southern Utah University for 1 year. In high school Bret was a member of Layton High School’s Drill Team where she served as captain her junior and senior year. Throughout her career Bret has choreographed for multiple college dance teams, drill teams, studios and soloist.
