We build on a strong foundation of ballet.
Great dancers are built on solid technique. At Energy Dance Company we value traditional ballet and respect the reverence required to study it. In our classes, students will learn and practice foundational knowledge and practice precise technique. The class will begin with stretching followed by barre exercise and center floor work. Students will learn multiple ballet combinations as well as routines which will be performed in the Christmas and Spring Recitals.
**Attire: Ballet students are required to wear a leotard and pink canvas ballet shoes. If dancers choose to cover their legs they may wear pink ballet tights. Hair must be slicked back into a bun.
Advanced Ballet and Pointe
Intermediate and Advanced Ballet Technique students can join the Pre-Pointe class as they further their ballet knowledge and skill set. In this class, dancers will practice in flat ballet shoes to begin strengthening their feet and ankles until they are ready to move onto Pointe shoes. Pre-Pointe students will be evaluated and invited to attend the pointe class. After an invitation to progress, dancers will learn and practice their ballet technique in pointe shoes. Students will perform in spring recitals.
**Attire: Ballet students are required to wear a leotard and pink canvas ballet shoes or pointe shoes. Dancers may wear pink ballet tights if they choose to cover their legs. Hair must be slicked back into a bun.
